OK, so my GM gave us a 25 point buy and I have arranged my stats as follows:
STR 15
DEX 13
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 16
With race I went the angel-kin Aasimar for the +2 STR and CHA
making the stats:
STR 17
DEX 13
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 18
We are playing carrion crown and so the character I would like to create (using hero lab) is just a paladin that runs around smashing things with his hammer and just generally not being useless (or just a meat shield.)
we have just hit level 3 so I am at the stage of selecting a second feat however I have no idea what to select so I have come to this font of knowledge for someone to hopefully give some guidance.
Feat taken at first level was power attack and now I am stuck, anyone with a complete build I would be happy to take a look :)

I'm rather fond of Intimidate builds, especially on a Paladin. Fey Foundling is an amazing feat but it must be taken at level 1, so here's what I recommend:
L1: Fey Foundling
L3: Power Attack
L5: Furious Focus
L7: Cornugon Smash
L9: Intimidating Prowess
L11: Dreadful Carnage
L13: Divine Interference
L15: Extra Lay On Hands
L17: Extra Lay On Hands
L19: Extra Lay On Hands
See if you can pick up the Omen trait to gain Intimidate as a class skill, and the ability (once per day) to Intimidate ad a Swift Action. Pick up Oath of Vengeance to gain the ability to trade 2 Lay On Hands for a Smite, along with adding a few nice spells to your list. On top of all that, the Oath itself in a way gives you more leeway in your behavior than you might usually have. Basically, pursue the BBEG and don't let lesser evil distract you.
Cornugon Smash is an awesome feat, it allows you to make an Intimidate check as a free action every time you hit something with Power Attack (which is every time you hit something). Shaken is a mean condition to inflict, and adding your two primary stats to your Intimidate checks means it'll work quite often.
Then pick up a Cruel weapon (refluffed to taste). Now everything you hit and render Shaken will be Sickened too.
Dreadful Carnage allows you to open a fight by splattering a minion, which allows you to Intimidate every nearby enemy. Again, refluff to taste.
This path also gives you more options outside of combat. People who won't be convinced by Diplomacy may be convinced by Intimidate, and it's better to put the fear of God in someone than to physically hurt them.
Divine Interference is there so that you can expend first level spells on making enemies reroll their crits. You won't have high enough level spells to put much of a dent in their attack rolls, but revoking their natural 20s is very handy.
Optionally you could pick up Fearless Aura somewhere, if your teammates have low Will saves and get frightened a lot.
Also, look into picking up Bloodsworn Retribution once you can cast 4th level spells. It's a major boost to your power, and has great flavor to boot.
