I know there have been several posts on true strike and I've tried to read them all but my question is more specific. Its probably a custom job because of personal target and odd duration so not something that falls under the normal rules for magic item pricing. How much do you guys think it should cost to add the ability to my bow to use true strike as a swift action once per day? how much if it was cast as a free action? note that this is ONLY to affect the next bow attack.

Custom Magic Item creation is more of an art, than a science.
The rules note some guidelines, but nothing is a be all, end all, formula.
You could just nab a Cloak of the Hedge Wizard, and avoid the mess of a custom job.

Actually, there is the Arrow Master's Bracers, that do exactly what you want.

To be fair, I'd say what you're looking for is in most ways far more powerful then the cloak. It's basically a free I hit this button 1/day, that you can use on the fly without the enemy getting a round to react.
I'd start by costing out 5th level spell 1/day items. It should be around that sort of cost.

that takes a standard action to use though. in many ways what I want is weaker since it can only be used for one bow shot and then only once per day. needs to be swift of free action though
This is such a losing proposition. I'd but if I really wanted to put this in the hands of player, I'd go:
standard action +1,000gp. (Slightly more than the old unlimited wand because its much more convenient on on a primary weapon than on a wand)
swift action +10,000gp. (Quicken SLA, require CL+9, so I multiple the effect by new CL 10.)
free action +20,000gp. (Clearly better than a swift action, and has the potentially troublesome mechanic of stacking with itself so I double the price but would probably just deny this outright.)

those bracers do exactly what I want and more. thanks for pointing them out. even if I don't go with them they give me a good basis for pricing. (a bit less on the bow because they don't have the continuous effects but a bit more because they don't go on the wrist slot). then again I might just take those and be happy. thanks again

I appreciate your suggestion icehawk but that's WAY too powerful. I'm not looking to break the game. In fact if there was a reasonably priced way to once per day add 20 to attack roll but it lowered damage by say 10 I'd still be fine with that. My goal here is NOT to make the character using it lot more powerful. think of it more as finding a way once per day of "taking 20" on an attack roll. true strike ends up being almost more powerful than what I really want but it seemed easier to use it as a basis to start from than trying to create an entirely new effect.
