A signature magic item for an alchemist? (Spoilers below, natch!)

My group is a goodly ways into RRR, and I could use some loot advice. My group is at 5th level now, with 6th level on the horizon, and they're starting to earn signature magic items. The barbarian owns an enchanted axe (Legendary item). The Dervish Dancing rogue is the proud new owner of the Lonely Blade (now a scimitar). I have ideas for similar items for the other party members to acquire over the next level or two, but I'm drawing a blank on a good item to drop for the alchemist. Any ideas?

Random thought off the top of my head

Tight fitting leather helm called 'The Bomber's Mask' that has a set of glass goggles (adjustable) that fit over the users eyes. The item gives +'s to ranged touch attacks and maybe add a damage bonus to thrown bombs.

Also making it an intelligent item that enjoys blowing things up would be interesting.
