In Pathfinder Society, do your faction and region have to match? For example, if you wanted to be part of the Andoran Faction, could you still pick up regional trait from Sargava, such as Citizen of Eleder, such that your character was born and raised in Eleder but later joined the Andoran faction? I can't seem to find anything specific about this.
Note: This is just an example. I'm not actually looking to pick up this trait. Just wondering if the desire for a particular trait will force me to pick up a particular faction at character creation.
Citizen of Eleder: You live and work in Eleder. You gain a +1 trait bonus on all Knowledge (local) and Knowledge (nobility) checks regarding Eleder.

You do not need to match your Regional Trait with your Faction.
Traits in PFS can be reflavored to a point. You can modify the "fluff" of the Trait, like growing up in the cold or training with a militia, so long as you do not modify the "crunch", like a Regional Trait's region or a Religion Trait's deity.
Regarding the Citizen of Eleder Trait, you could have either been born there, raised there, or vacationed there for a season. It's entirely up to you how you got that Trait, so long as the Region you got it from is still Eleder.

I believe I remember that you can only have one Regional "Affinity", usable for Region specific Traits/Feats/etc...
(not quite sure where that is stated, though)
I don't see why you need to start out with any specific affinity,
i.e. you could choose down the line when you actually pick up such a Trait/Feat/etc.
What the nature of that affinity is, i.e. being born there, having family connections, having lived or visited there, etc, is up to you.
