The reach of an Eidolon

Rules Questions

I'm sure that this is something that's been discussed before but I couldn't find a thread answering my question as I searched so I decided to create a thread.

One of the players in my group plays a summoner (synthesist to be precise) and we have an argument regarding one of his attacks. He plays with a Quadruped eidolon and usually attacks with a bite attack which he have given reach by an evolution. Now the question:

Can he only use that attack on the enemies that's 10 ft away from him or is the evolution giving him something like that natural reach that big sized enemies have which gives him the opportunity to bite anyone within 10 ft off him?

Sczarni

Creatures with natural reach may strike at anyone up to the limit of their reach. This is different than wielding a manufactured weapon with reach.

The critter in question could bite at someone adjacent or two squares away.
