Wrath of the Righteous Cleric Build Help

Advice

Hello I need some help. I am going to be playing a cleric with a 15 point buy. The campaign will be the wrath of the righteous. Any advice will be helpful feats, traits, and anything you can think off thanks

Alright... anything in particular you're going for?

No i am looking for inspration. All i have is the fluff but i will be playing with a paladin of Iomide and a bard who is going for the arcane dulist so i will probly need to be in the fight up close and peronal.

I'm playing a Cleric/Holy Vindicator of Iomedae with plans for the Vital Strike feat chain, currently Cleric 7/ MT 1 and doing fine as far as damage is concerned. Plan on being a front liner and helping the Paladin and Zen Archer, we also have a Witch and Bard. Str>Cha>Con>Wis>Dex=Int. Also taking Eldritch Heritage feat chain (Orc). Fairly boring, expected and plain, but I wanted simple.

The Holy Vindicator is good but, there are only three of use and no primary spell caster bar meso I can not afford to lose spell levels.

Only three characters with 15 pt buy in wotr sounds painful. You are needing a offensive caster, so I would play a theologian of sarenrae and use the fire domain to blast. Max wis and do out of combat healing.

It is painfull the DM is a tought Muther Huber but fair and there may be a 4th palyer a ranger but he is not confermed yet.

Suggestions for the Original Poster:

Well, Wrath of the Righteous has a lot of demons. You probably want to be able to Alignment Channel (Evil) and have a decent CHA (12?). Normally that feat is not worth while, but I have a hunch it will work out well in this case. You may also want to Quick Channel at 5th level. Again, channeling is not usually optimal, especially at higher levels, but in this case I think it will serve you well. You can probably get by without Selective Channel, and may occasionally choose to heal a foe out of necessity.

For a minimal build investment you can get yourself basic martial competency. With just STR 14, the feat Power Attack, and a simple longspear you can lay down respectable melee damage. Lesser demons are notorious for trying to close for melee attack, so your longspear will be especially effective. Were you to hyper-optimize this, which I advise against, and fully buff, which I recommend, you'd wind up with multiple attacks per round, each for +12 to hit and inflicting about 2d6+18 martial damage by 5th level. That will strike through typical demon DR, when you don't manage to negate it. For just 5 build points and a feat you get respectable martial ability that will still be valuable and viable at high levels.

With 15 build points perhaps something like this:

STR:14 DEX:10 CON:13 INT:10 WIS:14 CHA:12 Human +2 not yet included! Add to stat you prefer.

Feats: Alignment Channel (Human), Choose one you really like (1st), Power Attack (3rd), Quick Channel (5th), Choose One You like (7th), Choose One You like (9th), Divine Interference (11th), you choose after 11th

Traits: Choose any two you like. Suggestions include Fate's Favorite for extra luck, Armor Expert for extra armor, Exalted of the Society for an extra channel, Reactionary for extra initiative, et cetera. You might want to set up one specialty spell with e.g. Magical Lineage (e.g. Divine Favor).

Domains: Choose Two you like. This depends on your deity. Some excellent Domain choices for you might include Liberation, Growth, Travel, and several other good ones. It depends what you want to do.

The result of this build will be a medium martial combatant who is also a full caster. For the past year I've played an 8 point build Cleric using a similar approach, with surprisingly good results.

Your 5th+ level combat actions might look like this:

Move Action: Quick Channel to Harm all Evil Outsiders in 30' for 3d6 HP
5' step to fish for AoOs
Standard Action: Cast a spell, use a special ability, or possibly attack
Enemy turn: you possibly get an AoO

Weapons: longspear, club, and sling. Longspear is your primary weapon. Club is a blunt instrument. Sling gives you a little ranged firepower for no resource investment.

Armor: As much as you can manage without crippling your mobility.

Thank you Magda Luckbender this is somthing to look over and i will try this build in an arena with some freinds see how it plays out.
