skyrim dragonborn-like Magus / Dragon Disciple

Advice

Hello everybody, I am pretty new to pathfinder, plus english is not my native language so i would like to apologize if my english is bad.

I am going to play a Pathfinder game starting a 9th level soon and i would like some advice. I am planning on making a skyrim like character, that could use both weapons and magic, and some draconic features. So i planned on going with an half elf cabalist magus 7/ Dragon disciple 2, and using Words of Power to add a bit more personality to it.
We use the 25 point-buy, start with 2 traits and 2 lvl 1 feats.
I thought of taking the ancestral arms racial trait to get a bastard sword and to use the following stats (lvl 1):

19, 12, 14, 16, 9, 7

I was also thinking of taking the familiar magus arcana, and improved familiar at lvl 7 to get a faerie dragon.

I have never played or seen a magus being played before and i dont really know if this build is viable, i am pretty unsure about the words of power too but i like the idea of using them so i would like to know if you have some ideas for me? Thank you :)

In D&D 3.5 there is an actual race called Dragonborn or it's more of a template that can be added to any race. It only has a level adjustment of 1, so not bad. I once played a Phaethon from races of Ansalon with this template, though I did have a level adjustment of 3, it was so much fun and I even played as a Magus and let me tell you right now, the magus is probably the most fun class I have ever played besides a Druid!

With a Magus, your spell combat/spell strike with touch spells is your bread and butter for damage.. I have a magus is my top level PFS character. Mine is a dex magus, but str are just as good. Google magus guide and check out the guide there. I believe it's Walt or Walter who is the author. I found the guide very useful.
