Do Wemics and Hybsils exist on Golarion

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Have they been given an official introduction? Will they?

I don't think Wemics are in the OGL. I have no idea what Hybsils are, so I'm guessing no.

Wemics are not OGL, they were in Forgotten Realms material and are WoTC property.

SOme kind of Lion-men might exist, ala Kenku-Tengu but I've never seen them published.

That WoTC property doesn't affect an eventual appearance in pathfinder of the Wemic at all!

Wemic are 100% looking like the Urmahlullu from mythology, so if Paizo really wanted to have a Wemic they just apply the Urmahlullu in their bestiary, covers 100% for the Wemic.

Hypsils are the same, the Greek Hind (female centaur with deer features) can replace it.

And then there are Lamia who are also half lion and half human.

Lamia are already in PF, so I suspect a PC race that is that kind of lion-centaur might be Lamia-kin or something like that when it gets added.

Golden Hinds aren't centauroids in Greek Mythology. They're simply magic, oversized deer.

However, a deer-centaur appears in the Midgard Bestiary, which is OGL.

The Scarred Lands Creature Collection has a Wemic type race called 'The Proud,' and the stats for them (but not the text under Description or the actual name 'The Proud' itself) is Open Content.

The Maftet from Bestiary 3 make for a good leonine tribal race. They are bipedal, winged lion-men and -women. There was a whole Maftet village featured in one AP.

The Hybsils never had as much popularity as the Wemics. I wonder why?

They do if you want them to.

I think its because Lions are cooler than funny looking deer.
