Advice

I am trying to build a charisma oriented character devoted to Arshea. The overall goal is a Diplomancer type with the Celestial Observance feat, but no levels in the Mystery Cultist Prestige Class.

I have a boon for the Kitsune, and a Kitsune enchanter seems pretty appropriate, but not a divine type, so kinda torn. The other option seems to be a gnome of some sort focused as an oracle, or a high charisma cleric.

I think for Oracle, the best curse would be Legalistic for the social skill interactions with that curse.

For a Sorcerer, I think Enchantment should be the focus.

Other than that I am stymied.

Help?

You already know that a Kitsune fey sorcerer is probably the best choice.

As an alternative, consider a Kitsune Nature Oracle. It is thematic and it also adds its Charisma to AC and CMD, which is great. Also, consider the Dual-Cursed archetype and take the deaf and Wolfscarred curses, this way you have a free bite attack without spell failure chance, and you cast every spell with the silent metamagic for free. It is also flavorful to have a wolfish face.

An aasimar oracle would be even more effective because of their favored class bonus. If you take the nature mystery, put the favored class bonus to your bonded mount and enjoy a horse which is stronger than you. Or even better, satrt as a small aasimar and enjoy a wolf strogner than you.

If you make a high Cha cleric, make him a tiefling with the fiendish vessel archetype. This and variant channeling (ruleship and ale/wine are good ones) make raising CHa worth it on clerics.

Lunar Oracle works just a bit better then Nature in my opinion since you get access to a list of better animal companions and you get CHA to reflex saves instead of CMD. Definetly agree with XMorsX on Dual-Cursed Archetype, misfortune is to awesome to give up. For maximum power Half-Elf (or at least something pretending to be one with Racial Heritage) is advised for use of Paragon Surge with Eldritch Heritage (Arcane).

I agree with your decision to skip out Mystery Cultist and just wait to get the Celestial Observance power.

So I built both, and here they are:

Option 1: Kitsune Sorcerer (Tattooed) - Familiars are cool!

Stats:

Str: 8, Dex: 14, Con: 13 (+1 at level 12), Int: 10, Wis: 8, Cha: 20 (+1 at levels 4 and 8)

Feats:

1: Noble Scion (war); 3: Celestial Obedience; 5: Spell Focus (Enchantment); 7: Improved Familiar (Faerie Dragon); 7b: Improved Initiative ;9: Greater Spell Focus (Enchantment); 11: Spell Penetration

Traits:
Observant: (+1 Perception, Perception is a Class Skill); Ease of Faith (+1 Diplomacy, Diplomacy is a Class Skill)

Favored Class bonus:
+1/4 to DC of enchantment spells cast at every level

Familiar:
Greensting Scorpion for levels 1-6, thereafter Faerie Dragon.

Notes:

All Skill Points (2 per level) to Perception and Diplomacy)

The DCs on Level 0 Enchantment (Compulsion) spells:
Level 1 - DC 16
Level 4 - DC 17
Level 8 - DC 20
Level 12 - DC 22

Assuming I get moderately decent gear, the DCs should be neigh unbeatable . . . for those Enchantments will work on anyway. . .

Initiative will be +9 at level 1, 10 at level 8, without equipment.
===========================================================
Option 2: Dual-Cursed Lunar Oracle (Gnome or Halfling, so I can use Animal Companion as a Mount)

Stats:

Str: 8, Dex: 14, Con: 13 (+1 at level 12), Int: 10, Wis: 8, Cha: 20 (+1 at levels 4 and 8)

Feats:

1: Noble Scion (war); 3: Extra Revelation; 5: Celestial Obedience; 7: Improved Initiative; 9: Combat Casting; 11: Divine Interference

Revelations:

1: Primal Companion (Tiger); 3: Prophetic Armor; 3F: Misfortune; 5: Fortune 7: ?? 11: ??

Traits:

Fate's Favored if halfling, else ??
