Are an Oracle's Revelations based on Oracle level or overall character level?

Rules Questions

Greetings! This may be a potentially dumb question, but I've only been playing for a few months or so, so any help would be appreciated.

So, for sake of example: If I had a multiclassin' fifth level Oracle/Barbarian (1 level in Oracle and 4 levels in Barbarian) and chose the Lure of Heavens* revelation, could I float or would I be grounded? The description does not specify, unless it should be assumed to mean Oracle level.

*Lure of the Heavens (Su): Your connection to the skies above is so strong that your feet barely touch the ground. At 1st level, you no longer leave tracks. At 5th level, you can hover up to 6 inches above the ground or even above liquid surfaces, as if levitating.

It has to be your fifth level of Oracle. Oracle skills don't continue to progress when other levels are taken.

From the Multiclassing section of the PHB:

Note that there are a number of effects and prerequisites that rely on a character's level or Hit Dice. Such effects are always based on the total number of levels or Hit Dice a character possesses, not just those from one class. The exception to this is class abilities, most of which are based on the total number of class levels that a character possesses of that particular class.

Emphasis added. Unless a class ability states otherwise, it is based on class level rather than character level.

Alrighty. Thanks guys, much appreciated!

one thing to support the above is whenever you read a classes abilities they are written as if no other class exists. for the most art keeping this in mind will make it easier tofollw the various rule bits.

Makes sense, thanks for the advice.

Not to confuse you, but your oracles' curse class feature progresses one "oracle level" for every two other levels.
