Hey there everyone. I wasn't quite sure where to post my official 'hello' so I figure here in recruitment seems appropriate. I am looking for a group to join that posts at least 1/day. I'm a bit of a fan of the RP and fluff around the mechanics so do enjoy taking my time to post a response when appropriate (in town and NPC interactions, battle posts would be limited to the round).
I have some experience in D&D but am much more well read with the pathfinder rule system. I am currently in a pathfinder group IRL and they take up my Sundays, but other days are open to a larger time investment if more posts are needed.
I haven't done a pbp on this forum, but I did enjoy one briefly on another site (until the DM disappeared), so if you are a DM willing to answer some of the forum mechanics (rolling dice, formatting for IN and OUT OF character knowledge in posts, etc. etc.) I could probably bring a quirky character to the 'table'.
If this is in the wrong area let me know (and sorry bout that!). Hopefully I can latch on to a game soon and get my fantasy fix during the week! ;P

Welcome to the boards, rlbk.
If you want to join a game you have to enter a recruitment thread,
see if the game is to your liking, and then make a character based on the GM's character creation rules.
The characters go into an alias, and to make one you follow these steps.
1. Click on My Account in the top Right Corner of the site
2. Sign in
3. Under "Messageboard Aliases" Click the "Create New Alias" Button.
4. Enter the Character's Name into the Avatar's Name textbox.
5. Click Change to Select an Image for the Avatar/Alias.
6. When you find an image you want, mouse over it, and mouse over into the new window and click the Select Avatar button.
7. Click Submit Changes.
8. Your Done.
and fill it in with the character data
1. Click on your name in the Top Right (Next to the Letter Icon)
2. Click the Alias Tab.
3. Click on the Alias' Name.
4. Enter the Profile tab if it's not already there.
5. Click Edit Profile.
6. Fill in Profile (there are many ways).
7. When done Click Save Changes
*Note it's better to build/write the character data in a notepad file first then paste it into the profile.
