The Bard's Tale: Recharging with booze!

Homebrew and House Rules

For those who remember, The Bard's Tale was an old CRPG where youw ent on quests to defeat mad wizards, get cash and save the world. A significant character class was the bard who could sing various songs to help out but had to recharge with a trip tot he bar after a time. So I was thinking, how about a Drunken Bard feat?

Cayden's Blessing: For every pint of alcohol imbibed, a bard may recharge one round of bardic song.

I once did this. I still think to male a Winesinger archetype sooner or later, and/or a Cayden's Drunk Bard/Alchemist prestige class.

You may want to rephrase that: a pint of pure alcohol is quite lethal...

But apart from minor inconveniences like that, I quite like the idea. Why do you limit it to Bards though? An Evangelist Cleric may want to join in the fun too.
