I was reading a guide, on necromancers, and the guy was saying to raise a vrock as a minion.

Are you able to raise outsiders as undead?

elementals?

I'm just wondering because I really don't know.

Well, you better be able to raise outsiders as undead otherwise those devourers in the bestiary are 'bout to get fired. You can't reanimate elementals under normal circumstances, but things like demons, devils, daemons, and assorted other non-primordial force constituent matter composed outsiders can be reanimated.

I don't think they even leave anything behind when they die; outsiders don't have souls that are separate from their bodies. Well, more to say their body and soul are one in the same. Death for them means no afterlife; just dead. Elementals even fail to leave a corpse behind. That being said, I have heard there is some kind of necromancy or negative energy based elemental out there.
