Modules compatible with RotRL

Rise of the Runelords

Grand Lodge

Hey all,

I'm trying to prepare for running RotRL, but I'm wanting to add in a variety of other modules to the works. I haven't been heavily involved in running games of Pathfinder until now and I'm not familiar with the other modules that are available.

Is there a resource that lists what modules take place in what areas so that I can pick them up and integrate them into RotRL?

Or does anyone know off hand what modules take place in Sandpoint and Magnimar that would be easily added? Or just any other modules that fit the area and could be adapted?

I will have an 11 year old in the group, so it can't be anything too grisley. I'm already modifying some of the RotRL to be a little less graphic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I personally have modified and dropped in We Be Goblins as a prequel, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun after book 2 and The Harrowing after book 3. I had contemplated using Gallery of Evil at the end of book 2 and transplanting it to Magnimar, but Dawn of the Scarlet Sun was already there, and allowed me to replace the big bad with one who had escaped in our campaign quite easily. In fact, it would be quite easy to run Dawn of the Scarlet Sun during book 2 with a few changes and it would fit pretty seamlessly into it. If you want more details, let me know.

That sounds good. I'm planning on using the slow advancement track or possibly just letting them know when to level up, but I might see if I can integrate some of those adventures within the books so it all gets a bit mixed up.

Though, how did you do We Be Goblins? Did you have them play the Goblins to just show how nuts they are, or was it more of a guideline as to something the goblins might have done?

Feast of Ravenmoor will take you to the farthest reaches of Magnimarian h olds if you want to do that

Then "Seven Swords of Sin" ties into the game, but you'll have to modify it so that some of the swords are not in that adventure, for obvious reasons.

also there are a quite a few PFS adventures that take place in Magnimar.

Carnival of Tears should also fit quite nicely.

Ruyan.

I did have them play as the goblins to show how crazy they can be. I added a small scene where they saw the cheif talking with Tsuto Kaijitsu, whom I described to them as "a pointy-eared longshank". During the raid in Burnt Offerings, I replaced a few of the goblins with the We Be Goblins pregens that they had played as. They had quite a bit of fun getting to kill their characters.

I've run nearly every Pathfinder comics encounter so far around Sandpoint, I'm going to be moving Thornkeep to deep Mosswood and reflavouring it to be Thassilonian as a multi-level optional dungeon. I'm also planning on running PFS scenarios In Wrath's Shadow and The Golemworks Incident once my party makes it to Magnimar. I'm hoping In Wrath's Shadow should be good as a red herring of sorts for Karzoug, since my PCs will have only faced Alaznist's leftovers up until that point.

Parts of Shattered Star could be compatible with RotR too. I'm thinking about making my PCs go through the upper levels of the Crow due to one PC's past connections to the sczarni, but not including the pieces of the shattered star itself. And maybe making them go to Guiltspur in the future for some Lovecraftian goodness.

Edit: forgot about the 11 year old, In Wrath's Shadow has a lot of mutilated corpses around, though they are more incidental than central to the plot so it would not be much of a stretch to remove them or replace them with something less grisly.
