Spell Resistance and wonderous / magic items?

Rules Questions

Heya

I'm curious does SR apply to magic items? I.e. wonderous items?

Like a blasting helmit, or http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/c-d/cocka trice-grit
stuff like that? They say "as the spell" but no where can i see if SR applies.

SR says it applies to spell and spell like abilities.. Do items grant spell like abilities?

Some items do cast spells, and in those cases it would apply. Otherwise it does not.
This particular item does not cast slow. It is just referencing slow so you know how it works so SR would not apply.

Kinda what I was thinking of.. Since some of the items directly cite the spell used.. others just use it as a way to get shorter words (i assume)

(That item came up in the other forum and when i was looking for wonderous items that are kinda poisony)
