Question about the spell mount

Can i use the summoned mount to say pull qa lever with its teeth or open a door?

Im in a pathfinder society game and the dm (plus another player) wouldn't allow it and I was flabbergasted (and honestly, a little frustrated)

The horse that you summon does not understand your language, unless you cast speak with animals.

Also, it is not trained to perform the kinds of tricks you mentioned.

It's a horse for riding, not an animal companion. Even an animal companion would be challenged to do the things you want it to do.

What you get is a MOUNT, plain and simple. Not Ed The Wonder Horse. He won't count to 18 on his hooves either.

It does quite a bit as it is, being a first level spell and all.

The mount isn't trained to do much more than serve as a mount, so you'd have to make somewhat difficult Handle Animal tricks to make it do more. It's physically capable, but making it understand what you want it to do is the problem. Read up on the Handle Animal skill to see what you can and can't do :)

I would say it's possible, but you would need to use Handle Animal to push the horse to do it. Which is a DC 25.
