Character Creation Block

Advice

I can't for the life of me think of what to play in an upcoming campaign, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. It is going to be a mythic campaign, and nothing is decided yet, except that I have already rolled my stats with 4d6, drop the lowest.

In no particular order they are 19, 15, 13, 10, 12 and 12. They can be placed anywhere and this is preracial. (The 19 came from rolling 4 6's. the dm gave me a bonus)

So yeah, any suggestions? Also any suggestions for when you can't think of what character to make?

If you have no preference then make your character last so you can try to fill in whatever you think is missing. :)

Pick a weapon to use/role to fill/class/idea you want to play and then try to figure out the best way to make that happen generally if you can get one out of the four you can work out the rest mostly by process of elimination.

Personally I find the Swashbuckler playtest to look quite fun and with mythic I think you can get dex to damage via a mythic feat which makes it much more appealing.

I also wrote up a maneuver specialist just because my friend wanted to see what one could do in PF.

Dark Archive

That's not a problem I have, since every time I think of an idea for a character, I write it down in my "Character Ideas" notebook. Of course, I never get to play 95% of them.

None of them are mythic characters, however.

To some extent it depends what everyone else is playing. For instance, if the other characters don’t have as good ability scores, I might be tempted to play one of the weaker character classes so as not to overshadow them.

However some ideas off the top of my head (since I don't have my note book with me) :-

An Elven Transmuter who specialises in magic-assisted archery
An Ifrit sorcerer with an insane Initiative modifier
An orc scarred witch (?) archetype (just to see how using Con as a casting stat works out in practice)

The rest of the group is a Tiefling Slayer (from the play test, we have already decided to refer to him as Buffy), a human cleric, and a human sorcerer (I think he is going to be an elemental or genie bloodline).

I keep wracking my brain, but all I am getting is characters I have played or characters that don't sound like they would work out too well. Grippli Barbarian, Orc Slave (fighter? monk? not sure).

I feel like a skill monkey is needed, but I can't think of a good one.

What Races are available?

Be a synthesist summoner! :D

The game is tonight, in about an hour so I am trying to finalize it now. All the races in the advanced race guide are available, and I am not feeling the Synthesist to be honest. I will likely be able to change up the character later (as this is the first game and we are relaxed about such things) so please continue suggestions if you like.

Android Inquisitor with the Conversion Inquisition.

A cold, calculating Inquisitor, without fear, but without malice.

Also, make a decent skill monkey, and surprisingly, face.

This would be amusing if you called him a Manhunter.

Oh, and the Android Inquisitor has no need to sleep.

Ever.
