Mummy's Mask: a dungeon-heavy AP?

Mummy's Mask

Hey everyone,

I am interested in MM, I like the Egyptian feeling, the desert, the misteries and all. I am fine with tomb delving and pyramid exploration, but I am afraid it could quickly turn MM into a dungeon heavy AP...
Do we have any information from the developpers?

Liberty's Edge

I am curious about this as well. It really ends up being a factor in if I buy it or not.

Just go to the product page and read the blurbs for the 6 books in the AP. It doesn't sound like it'll be a heavy dungeon delve, but as they say, the proof is in the pudding. To me, it sounds like it starts as a dungeon delve that leads to a great evil awakening and an epic quest to save the world (or at least Osirion).

Scarab Sages

My opinion based on the descriptions:

Book 1: Dungeon Delve with new rules for competing against rival party (though I think it could also maybe be a revised Serpent's Skull rivals deal)

Book 2: Urban & Dungeon, Zombpocalyse.

Book 3: Urban, Wilderness & Dungeon at the end.

Book 4: Dungeon, though this description is very broad

Book 5: Urban

Book 6: No description yet, but will most likely take place partly within the flying pyramid (Dungeon) mentioned in Book 5's description, and my guess would be another unvisited location (probably Dungeon).

It'd be great if they expanded a bunch on trap encounters and dealing with intense heat environments.

Since Shattered Star was only 3 APs before Mummy's Mask.
I highly doubt that they will make a series of dungeons AP this soon.

Mh judging on some of the locations descriptions, it might be a good mix.
City (necropolis and actual city stuff), some dungeons in there, maybe some desert and oasis themes. But who knows what kind of portals are hidden in there and where they lead too. A trip to Garund also isn´t that unlikely.

Win-win for me; I'm just not really sick of dungeons yet.

Agree. There's something to be said for a good dungeon delve. I wouldn't want to do them exclusively of course, but I've yet to think a campaign had too many...
