So we all are familliar with the flawed scarlet and green cabochan ioun stone (at least those of us who picked up Seekers of Secrets, and decided to build a rage cycling barbarian, do).
(Ok, the theory crafters probably do too. And the people who just like looking through magic items--you know what, not the point, never mind, moving on)
It allows you to become sickened instead of fatigued, and nauseated instead of exhausted. But then I started wondering, how long does the sickness last? When does it wear off? How does one even cure the "sickened" condition anyways? Or nauseated for that matter?
For the life of me I can't find an answer to any of these questions, can any of you enlighten me please?

I assume it would be the same amount of time that the barbarian would have been fatigued or exhausted.
I assume the player will follow this up with the rage power Internal Fortitude.

It allows you to swap the conditions, so the length of the conditions should remain the same.
So look at the length of the effect that led to the fatigue or exhaustion and apply that period of time as the swapped condition.
For example, the barbarian gets hit with Waves of Exhaustion they would be nauseated until they fully rest for 1 hour as per the exhausted condition after which they would become sickened until they get 8 hours rest as per the fatigued condition.
If they rage for 8 rounds and then come out of rage they will be sickened for 16 rounds as per the barbarian rage feature rule for fatigue.
That seems to be RAI, however I would also add the following if I was GMing: If they then enrage again (because they can, there is no rule about not raging while sickened, only when fatigued) and then come out of rage they will then be nauseated (due to the stacking nature of fatigue and see above on how to deal with that.
