Mythic Path ability: Armor master-encumbrance

So I have an elf with a 10 strength who uses Mythic Finesse. He also has Armor Master x2. I am wearing a Breastplate, a light steel shield and a rapier atm. I plan on upgrading to full plate at tier3. Encumbrance has been brought up by the gm. Isn't the dex max/ penalty basically because of encumbrance. So wouldn't the mythic armor master ability says to me that it negates the encumbrance penalties of armor. IDK new to pathfinder.

A medium or heavy load counts as medium or heavy armor for the purpose of abilities or skills that are restricted by armor. Carrying a light load does not encumber a character.

If your character is wearing armor, use the worse figure (from armor or from load) for each category. Do not stack the penalties.

They are separate things. Encumbrance by weight only counts as armor for things that are restricted by armor (such as a Monk's AC bonus). However, the penalty is applied as an ACP. Even so, you would need an ability that specifically negates penalties from both (or each separately) to ignore the penalty from encumbrance.

I suggest getting muleback cords or a heavyload belt.
