Next time we play my wife wants to set herself on fire and grapple an opponent cooking it alive.
How much damage a round does fire do to a burning person?
Can you even be set on fire if you have fire resistance?
Take a look at the Catching on Fire rules.
The damage is 1d6 per round, and you make a reflex save each round to stop it.
Then there is a point of clothes and equipment taking the damage as well.
To allow it, I would rule as follows: Resistant to fire, the flames cannot burn on your person. Yet you can easily light your clothes on fire for the desired effect.
However, the consequence is that your equipment is going to take the damage each round, until you extinquish the flames.

Depending on the character's finances and how long she wants to use that tactic, have your wife check out the Shirt of Immolation. The shirt won't damage her and will do more damage than mundane fire.
