Wall of Thorns vs Woodland Stride

Which rule takes precedence?

Wall of Thorns : Creatures with the ability to pass through overgrown areas unhindered can pass through a wall of thorns at normal speed without taking damage.

Woodland Stride :Starting at 2nd level, a druid may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.

Wall of Thorns makes it sound like Woodland Stride SHOULD work against it...but then Woodland Stride says, "This doesn't work against magically manipulated areas". Seems very contradictory.

You've pretty much got it - no, it doesn't work at all. You have to have natural underbrush so thick that it deals damage before Woodland Stride becomes really useful. Also hedge mazes, druids own hedge mazes.

Woah... I hadn't seen that before. Looks like Wall of Thorns is the exception to Woodland Stride's exception.

Edit: I guess that's because it's a conjuration (creation) spell. Even if it's temporary, what it created is pretty much just there, not animated and clutching like entangle or that vine trap spell.

I think the specific (wall of thorns spell text) overrides the general (Woodland strides broader limitation text)

It is still a wall. You can't walk through it anymore than you can walk though a bush. A wall of thorns is not undergrowth.

wall of thorns is no more an actual wall than a blade barrier is an actual barrier... you can walk though both but take damage doing so.

So you are saying the wall of thorns is really juts a bunch of thorns, but is not thick enough to be solid?
