Synthesist and "Restore Eidolon" spell

Is the Restore Eidolon spell worthless for a synthesist? Or can the synthesist essentially treat it like he can cast Restoration?

Well, since his eidolon is his physical stats I imagine its basically like being able to cast restoration on yourself. Which is useful.

They way I understand the Synthesist is you are using the Eidolon's Physical stats and your own mental stats.

If you take ability drain to say Strength while "wearing" your Eidolon it would drain the Eidolon's strength not yours. So, that spell would restore the Eidolon's strength drain, but wouldn't do anything for you.
