See title. Basically, I'm a player looking for a chance to play an Adventure Path. So, here are my basic criteria of what I'm looking for:
-The GM MUST be willing to accept exotic races. I find the core races incredibly boring, and prefer a little bit of variety. I almost never make characters for the core races.
Really, that's the only thing that I absolutely require. Optional tidbits:
-Preferred APs: Rise of the Runelords, Skull and Shackles, Shattered Star, Reign of Winter, Carrion Crown, Wrath of the Righteous
-Mythic would be nice, but it's not an all-essential thing, unless of course I'm directed to Righteous.
-The GM should be willing to allow characters listed as evil. Main reason being, I have a CE character... though he's not a villain so much as a Grade-A FDA-approved a%~*#!*.
I have three characters statted up, wandering Golarion and ready for adventure!
First is Taiken, a Lawful Neutral kobold monk of the empty hand. Of these characters, he's the most fleshed out, and the one I'm leaning toward playing as.
Next is Dayne Verikt, a Chaotic Evil skinwalker alchemist (werecrocodile-kin). This is the a~&~+$& character I was talking about. He's not a cold-blooded murderer, but he is just a complete jerk with no heart of gold. Also, he REALLY likes fighting.
Finally, Victus Kalrox, a True Neutral nosferatu-born dhampir ranger. He's not the nicest guy, but he is nowhere near evil. He just really, really, really, REALLY hates goblins. He'll attack, kill, and likely eat any goblin he sees on sight. All other humanoids are off the menu, though.
Any GMs running PbP games that fit the criteria, please, let me know, I'd be interested to hear about it!

The problem is I can't find what I need, and I also can't tell at a glance which recruitment threads are active. Most GMs stubbornly refuse players outside of the core races, and, well, I already said why I don't play the core races. That being, I find the seven core races to be very boring.
There are also people that say to justify an exotic race. I'm not sure what that means; most of my characters are outcasts and/or nomads anyway. I just go with the assumption that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If you want to find someone who will let you play what you wish, then you have to put in the effort.
Since the Recruitment forum (and all others, for that matter) sorts posts based on the date/timestamp of the most recent post, if you can't tell which posts are currently being written to . . ..
But the advice about finding a game that interests you and then building a character that interests you AND is acceptable to that judge INSTEAD OF shopping characters around and trying to force judges to let you play what you want instead of working with them, is SPOT ON.
ALWAYS remember the social contract about table-top RPGs. Everyone involved is supposed to be working towards the common end of fun and entertainment for everyone involved. That includes the GM being rewarded with fun and entertainment for putting in the effort to make the game happen.
Also, being an "a$*@%!~" is NOT being Evil. Within the game engine Evil has a very real, very specific meaning. So does Good. You can have an "a$*@%!~" character who is Lawful Good. Good and Evil are clearly measurable things.

So I should scrap these characters if I want to do a PbP? What I'm getting from that is that I need characters tailor-made for whatever games I'm interested in playing, and that the ones I've made can't be submitted because they AREN'T made with a specific game in mind.
If that's the case, all I can really say is DAMMIT.

Lots of people shop the same character around over and over, trying to shoe-horn it into one gam eor another until they find a judge who accepts that character.
What is your primary goal? Play games with other people? Play those specific characters?
Getting to do either can take effort. Demanding that only games which accept exactly what you have previously built are acceptable is by far the more difficult path with far fewer gaming opportunities.
It is your time, your effort, your frustration, and your entertainment. Decide what you are after, make choices that support those goals, and then put in the effort.
The only thing that can ever REALLY be WRONG about playing an RPG is demanding that somebody else MUST play it YOUR WAY. In my opinion, that's what your opening post here was all about: you demanding that an entire table MUST play THEIR game YOUR way.

Essentially, your going to find its a sellers market. There are far, far, far more people looking for a game than people willing to run them.
The onus is on you to browse recruiting games and find what you want, not on GM's to step-up to your precise requirements and hunt you down. GMing a PbP takes so much more work than playing in one so it is only fair these selfless people run what they want to run.
On that note, insisting on exotic races and chaotic evil a+%#@+# are two strikes as a problem player in most GM's books.
Best of luck.
