Advancing Bloodlines as Dragon Disciple

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

Quick question:

I am planning a 4 monk/5 Unarmed Fighter/1 Sorcerer/10 Dragon Disciple build.

Now I was considering crossblooded Draconic/Abyssal.

Fairly simple question. If, at level 9 for sorcerer bloodline I take Strength of the Abyss, does this continue to become better (at level 13 and 17) since it merely says level, whereas other bloodline powers specifically mention sorcerous levels.

Or, being a 10 DD/ 1 Sorcerer would advancement always assume my level would be 11 for all bloodline powers? In which case Eldritch Heritage might be better.

If anybody can shed some light, that'd be great. Thanks in advance!

You would only have the powers of a level 11 sorcerer. You'd probably want the eldritch heritage feats.

Just a note:Dragon Disciple strength bonuses and Strength of the Abyss strength bonuses don't stack with each other, as they are both inherent bonuses to strength.

Dragon Disciple ability bonuses are untyped.

As a dragon disciple gains levels in this prestige class, his ability scores increase as noted on Table: Dragon Disciple. These increases stack and are gained as if through level advancement

Huh. Could've sworn it was inherent. Learn something new each day I guess.

Actually, the DD ability boosts are NOT inherent bonuses, they count the same as advancement via leveling.

I agree with the first response, though. Eldritch Heritage is the way to go. Technically, I'm not even sure you can take DD with a cross blooded sorc. In the first place, since it might not count as the draconic bloodline anymore.

Kind of this too, but that's a whole nother can of worms and arguement.
