The Maestro

Homebrew and House Rules

I want to make a bard character. Gnome, standard bard, Perform Conducting. I want to take leadership and have all my followers also be bards. In effect I want to have a full orchestra follow me around. Here is my question, if 130 bards play in unison what can I recommend to my GM as ways to handle this in a non game breaking way. (Does inspire courage even stack?)

Definitely feel like masterpieces are an option, was also thinking Expanding area of effect for members of the orchestra centered on the Maestro.

Since inspire courage is all morale bonuses, they do NOT stack. An orchestra would expand the range (if only because you cant fit 130 bards in one area), but otherwise, there is no difference between a single bard & infinite bards performing (assuming identical level of inspire courage bonus).

You could do something like this.

Though a full orchestra wouldn't be too effective.. At max, I'd think only 6 bards would work. One plays inspire competence, the others aid your action, and you do something that relies on a performance check.

What you do have though, is the possibility of inflicting a number of bardic performances at the same time with your bards. Like if you have a magician, street performer, Skald, and Arcane duelist, you can cause a bunch of different effects happen.
