Domain Spell Slots and Prestige Classes

Rules Questions

Do they get those slots and spells, or not?

EDIT: This is from the Prestige Class type of advancement, not Cleric.

They do when they level up - any reason they wouldn't? 'cause I'm not really sure I understand the question.

Oh I'm dumb.

This is for the purposes of Mystic Theurge advancement, sorry.

Then I'm not actually sure.

Quote:
When a new mystic theurge level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in any one arcane spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class and any one divine spellcasting class he belonged to previously.

If you consider the Domain part of the Cleric's "spells per day", then they should get new domain spells and spell slots (but not the higher domain abilities). If on the other hand you deem Domains a class feature, then the Theurgic Cleric get nothing.

I'm inclined to call them class features that do not advance without taking an actual level of Cleric, myself.

Quote:
Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent upon the level of the cleric, as well as a number of bonus spells. A cleric gains one domain spell slot for each level of cleric spell she can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a cleric can prepare one of the spells from her two domains in that slot. If a domain spell is not on the cleric spell list, a cleric can prepare it only in her domain spell slot. Domain spells cannot be used to cast spells spontaneously.

It is part of the class feature, but it is tied directly to spell level rather than class level.

It's a little bit more murky about the bonus spells, but the clause about powers being tied to cleric level does not seem to also reference the bonus spells imo.
