Biting words extended lasts 2 min/level. Not really worth it IMO. Singapore has made masks compulsory when going out of the house except when exercising since 15th April.
Garrosh Saurfang
We have a lot of stuff to barter/sell - I will try to compile a list during the day today.
Some countries are starting to adopt those same measures Mort - I know Spain is, at least in some places. Masks even when you are at the beach.
華子: Hanako
Empowering Biting Words could be worth it… but only if the gem permanently affected the spell. It looks like you spend 2000g just to get bigger numbers for exactly one casting. If it’s the latter, yeah… huge waste of money!
EDIT - the bag of holding could hold a ton of arrows in addition to a quiver that holds 60. But someone else should hold the bag. Hanako’s a wimp.

Hey guys, I have updated the Loot List (link in my header).
Please check the tabs Loot and More Loot, and check what your characters may want to claim (notice some things are already 'kinda' assigned, but can be traded about or sold obviously), or what they may want to give up from what they are currently holding.
Mort, I have shaded in light red the items we have not yet managed to identify. And in light blue the ones we probably need to appraise (not sure). Will you tell us what to roll, or..?
Piotr Tataru
Looks like there are 12 things on the list in red, so here are 12 spellcraft rolls from Piotr if that helps any.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Garrosh Saurfang
And Garrosh aids :P
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
GM Mort
Thanks for putting where the stuff came from - makes it easier for me to be checked.
Piotr cannot determine what are the vials from the bird cage room. The pearl necklace and the disembodied, coin-sized eye with an X shape pupil are not magical, but he speculates it(the eye) might be worth 250 gp to a collector.
The two white vials, two green vials and the salts, doses of black liquid and white powder are alchemical substances and are not magical. Piotr cannot identify the candle nor the incense, nor the last 2 vials.
GM Mort
The masterwork viol, Acolyte Laura looks at it and is willing to pay the party 160 gp for it, while the paper and writing instruments will fetch 10 gp, while the wooden holy symbol of Pharasma will fetch 2 gp.
GM Mort

EDIT - the bag of holding could hold a ton of arrows in addition to a quiver that holds 60. But someone else should hold the bag. Hanako’s a wimp.
I think it would be underpriced for a permanent metamagic effect, and I agree its too costly for a one off thing.
華子: Hanako
Yeah… I also thought a few thousand would be really cheap for a permanent effect, but for a once-ever, that’s a rip-off. I mean, a fighter type can spend a few thousand on a +1 Training, +1 Keen, or +1 Clustershot and effectively have a feat s/he can use all the time.
This would be a feat for one spell. A tenth of the price might make more sense, though I still wouldn’t bother.
Anyway, the quiver was 1800 and I rolls below 75, so I guess it’s available. And it would also hold the +1 rapier, if Kilarra gives that to Hanako?
Garrosh Saurfang
Guys, I still need to know if you want to keep anything from our loot list (or drop any of what has been assigned to you).
I am assuming it makes sense to keep all consumables we can use just in case - they add a lot of versatility, but regarding the other itesm will need you guys to speak up if you want any of it. Otherwise we will sell it all! :D
(I will be taking a second look at the list myself, see if anything might be useful for Garrosh).
華子: Hanako
I’d like to accept the rapier from Kilarra. Other than that, I think I’m good.
The only item I want to buy is the Efficient Quiver I rolled and 50 mundane arrows for the quiver. I believe the Gloves of Shaping Hanako asked about are potentially useful, but too expensive to justify.
@Garrosh, Hanako can’t really carry her Bag of Holding, given her Light Load is basically all her stuff plus a summoned lute. So if you fail to roll a second quiver, or even if you do roll one, we could have a ton of arrows in the bag.
Garrosh Saurfang
Thank you Hanako - I actually think a Bag of Holding is better than an Efficient Quiver, to carry ammo :P
華子: Hanako
Also, add Hanako’s money (348g) to the party funds, assuming we’re pooling our money instead of having shares.
Even if we’re not, she’d put all her money toward the purchase of the Efficient Quiver.
Piotr Tataru
Piotr will grab one of the amulets of natural armor, more ac is always good.
Kilarra Dimir
I'll hold onto the two pearls of power, an amulet of natural armour, and the mwk silver dagger. I don't plan to buy anything.
Thanks again for doing this loot list, Garrosh.
華子: Hanako
Okay… Hanako already posted (bottom of previous page) pretty much all we talked about. I expect only the quiver is affordable. I may need the quiver so I can also magically sheathe the rapier in it. And the bow!
What’s “MW Viol(ine?)” It’s on the loot list. If that’s an actual violin, I may want to keep that. At least if it does anything useful for a bard with Perform: Strings.
Garrosh Saurfang
We are almost done guys - any takers for the Light Mace +1 or the War Razor +1 from the tab 'More Loot'?
Piotr Tataru
Where is the... oh MORE LOOT... sorry brain dead. Right now Piotr has a light mace +1 listed on his character sheet so he could have a magic weapon. I assume that is that one. He of course would rather have a magic 'AnythingBigger' so is good with selling it.
Garrosh Saurfang
Noted.
Kilarra I would suggest that maybe you hold on to the Dagger +1 (in cse you need a magical weapon?).
Hanako, you can use a Spell Lattice, right?
That being said, if Kilarra keeps the magical dagger, we have a grand total of 5181.05 gold.
If we take out 1800 for the Efficient Quiver and a weapon for Piotr, we are left with about... 1200 gold.
Feels like we are way below WBL, but I am getting used to it in all APs...
For Garrosh, I guess some arrows and that should be it. Perhaps a Cloak of Resistance. Any other stuff you guys may want to buy?
華子: Hanako
Yeah, Feather Fall is on the bard list, so I can use that.
Don’t forget Hanako wants a full quiver (+50 arrows). I assume you plan to buy a lot anyway.
Anything special about the rapier, or is it simply a +1?
Garrosh Saurfang
The rapier is MW I believe.
華子: Hanako
Doesn't she have a magic short sword... yes Red Destiny.
Is Red Destiny Kilarra’s main weapon? (I assumed she had something bigger, like a great sword.) If not, Hanako is proficient with short swords too.
A +1 with a 19-20 crit is even better than the rapier. But if Kilarra wants to keep Red Destiny, that’s fine and the rapier’ll do. If not, I’m happy to keep both in the quiver.
Kilarra Dimir
I've got Red Destiny, which I'm using as my backup magic weapon. I didn't realize that was part of the loot list. I'll give/sell it once I have some more spell slots, then I can prepare spells to make my greatsword magic.
Piotr Tataru
Sorry, wasn't paying attention where I was posting about Red Destiny. No, it was not part of the loot list. I was just pointing it out because of the suggestion, Kilarra keep the dagger +1(that is in the loot list) to have a backup magic weapon. That you didn't need the dagger.
Garrosh Saurfang
True indeed Piotr! ;)
Also I say we keep the necklace of Fireballs, right? :D
Another good news -my math was off on the weapons cost and value (forgot to add in the Masterwork cost), so after buying the Efficient Quiver for Hanako, we have 5582,05 gold pieces
Piotr, you should get a magical weapon.
Kilarra, perhaps you should get one too, and sell the magical shortsword?
With whatever remains, I can either buy a magical bow (after selling mine), or a Cloak of Resistance.
Kilarra Dimir
Technically, magic weapons are above the 2kgp rule that GM mentioned. Only by a few gp, but still.
D'you know what's really dumb but economically reasonable? A magic sling. For non-archers, that would be cheaper than a magical composite longbow with a strength rating. I was just thinking about weapons that cost 0gp, so they could be in the 2kgp category.
Garrosh Saurfang
My STR based characters always carry a sling as their first ranged weapon at level 1 :D
And you are right, I forgot about the 2k limit...
Piotr Tataru
Piotr can keep the light mace as his backup magic weapon for now until we are at a place to buy something else.
GM Mort
Magic weapons are above 2k gp since you have to mw it before you can +1 it. Also a viol is more like a cello in size.
華子: Hanako
Magic weapons are above 2k gp since you have to mw it before you can +1 it. Also a viol is more like a cello in size.
My wife and I drove through Amherst on our way to a concert seriously lacking in violins... but They had a guest musician dual-wielding horns (slide trombone and trumpet), which I think makes up for the lack of violins.
If the viol can be stored in the efficient quiver, I’d like to keep it!
Kilarra Dimir
I don't consider Kilarra a 'prepared for anything' character, but she's smart enough to buy the following:
Tent, small (10gp)
Alchemist's fire (20gp)
Antiplague (50gp)
Antivenom (50gp)
Bloodblock (25gp)
Healer's Kit (50gp)
Holy Water (25gp)
GM Mort
Now that you think about it - a way to get around the spending limit would be to buy the masterwork weapon you want first. Then pay for the enchanting services. That is once head priestess Trillis gets back.
I'll let you store the viol in the efficient quiver.
I will allow piecemeal upgrades like PFS for this campaign as long as there's someone in the town who can cast greater magic weapon as part of the enchantment process.
Garrosh Saurfang
Wow 2 days no posts and I wake up to find 28 posts in discussion =P
Loot makes the world go around!
Changes I will make to the loot:
- Piotr keeps the mace +1
- Efficient quiver for Hanako + arrows
- Purchases for Kilarra (we already have a healer's kit - and a surgeon kit to go with it ;) Garrosh is good at Heal btw)
- Maybe a cloak of resistance +1 for me + arrows (unless I remember something more interesting)
Should have the final tally later today.
Duly noted on the magical weapons front Mort - might use it on my bow when I can ;)
Garrosh Saurfang
Of course!
Garrosh Saurfang
Ok guys, final tally = 6148,55 gold
Purchased:
Efficient Quiver (1800gp)
50 arrows for Hanako (I am going to buy cold iron, ok?)(5gp)
10 blunt arrows for Hanako (2gp)
Silver Weapon blanch x2 for Hanako (enough for 20 arrows)(22gp)
Tent, small (10gp)
Alchemist's fire (20gp)
Antiplague (50gp)
Antivenom (50gp)
Bloodblock (25gp)
Healer's Kit (50gp)
Holy Water (25gp)
Cloak of Resistance for Garrosh (1000gp)
Cold iron arrows for Garrosh x50 (5gp)
Blunt arrows for Garrosh x20 (2gp)
Silver Weapon blanch x2 for Garrosh (enough for 20 arrows)(22gp)
Ghost salt Weapon blanch to split between Hanako and Garrosh (enough for 20 arrows) (200gp)
Which leaves us with a total of 2860,55 gold.
Piotr Tataru
How about a wand of cure light wounds?
Garrosh Saurfang
Great idea Piotr!
We are left with 2110,55 gold.
Hanako, I think all of us can use it. Not sure about Spiritualist...
Piotr Tataru
Not 100% sure. He has cure light wounds as a spell, but psychic magic is odd so maybe not.
GM Mort
Are you guys done sorting out the loot list yet? I think it's been a week already...
Piotr Tataru
Yes, all done. Off to the Cove next correct?
