More pregenerated NPCs?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I do love using the NPCs from the NPC codex and other products as the basis for my own NPCs, saves a lot of time and work.

However, I could really use a bunch of pregenerated NPCs of classes found in Ultimate Magic, the Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Combat and so on (so for example, summoners, magus, gunslinger, etc...). Especially higher level ones. Anyone know has Paizo put out a book with any non-core rulebook class NPCs? If not, has perhaps a 3rd party publisher? Or someone know of where online I could find some?

I've dug around a bit, but have had no luck so far.

If no one has done this yet... I might just have to start making a bunch myself (but I'd rather not if I can avoid it).

I can only recommend Adventure Paths, and not just from Paizo. Making NPCs takes time, and that means money, and it's harder to write an NPC using a newer class because you're probably less familiar with them.

Way of the Wicked (a 3rd party AP) has several oracles and a witch, but most of the NPCs use core PC classes. It's not a gun-friendly place, so no gunslingers. An alchemist is mentioned, but that left me with the impression that anyone with the right skill or feat is an alchemist, and isn't necessarily using the class.

I'm wracking my brain, but cannot recall any odd class use in Kingmaker.

The Inner Sea NPC Codex just came out, but I don't know if there are any non-core classes in it.

I vote for a new npc book, saves gms a lot of time.

The best darn collection of pregens you will find

Note that they are very optimised, so be careful when using some of these as an enemy for an unoptimised party

Thanks, I'll check them out.

I haven't gotten the Inner Sea NPC guide yet, I'll have to look and see if it has the sort of things I'm looking for.

I do second that another NPC book (one not region specific, but more like the NPC Codex) would be great though.

I plan to run a Kickstarter next month that will produce a variety of Pathfinder compatible NPCs for your campaigns. All of my NPCs will be stated out from levels 1-20 and I will be using a variety of official Pathfinder source books to create them.

Check my Facebook page out for more details and see if what I'm trying to do interests you.

I too like pre-generated NPCs but I like to look for the more common folk variety. You know, the smithy, the shopkeeper, the guards, the petty criminals, low level nobility and the like. I know that the Gamemastery Guide has many of those listed but what I would like to see is a book dedicated to the little guy. When the NPC Codex was announced I was excited that it would have more "background characters" than the PC type classes that were over represented in my view.

I think it would be cool to have a book where a town of 1000 common NPCs were stated out. Everything from the farmer, the mill wright and the village drunk. That would be interesting...

Frog God Games put out Unusual Suspects, which is an NPC book. I don't have it, but the description says 3 NPCs of each CR, so that would be 60 in the book. Nowhere near as many as are in the NPC Codex, but still something to look at.

You might enjoy Scions of Evil by Raging Swan Press.

Looking at Scions of Evil as far as I can tell the vast majority is core rule-book class characters which I have a ton of all ready. The anti-paladin on its own though I might have to grab.

Unusual Suspects looks more promising though, I'll have to dig around and see if I can find a list of what is included specifically somewhere.

Abellius: I'll keep an eye on that for sure.
