Alternate favored class bonuses

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I noticed that some classes are missing alternate favored class bonuses for one or more core races. Is there a particular reason for this?

E.G. Elves do not get any alternate favored class bonsues for Rogues.

I think the only reason is that not every race should have an alternate favoured class bonus for every class.

If you check out the rules archive/PRD (look left), the Advanced Race Guide has favoured class bonuses for all the classes.

Edit: That's for the core races. The uncommon/other races don't have FC bonuses for every class.

Not every race has an FCB for every class. Generally each race gets an FCB for each class that is iconic for it (Elf Wizards, Fetchling Bards, etc.).

Of course, there are some oddballs here and there. Lookin' at you Elf Barbarian FCB.

That is for a more "tribal" "wild elf". If I remember correctly barbarian was the favored class for wild or green elves in 3.0 forgotten realms. Though urban barbarian could be a good way to a Battledancer type character.

EDIT: Also there is an Savage Elf racial subtype from the ARG.
