Amplified rage (teamwork) and raging song

Rules Questions

amplified rage:

Prerequisites: Half-orc or orc, rage class feature.

Benefit: Whenever you are raging and adjacent to a raging ally who also has this feat or flanking the same opponent as a raging ally with this feat, your morale bonuses to Strength and Constitution increase by +4. This feat does not stack with itself (you only gain this bonus from one qualifying ally, regardless of how many are adjacent to you).

Does this work with the skald's raging song?
Let's say an half-orc inquisitor with this teamwork feat and solo tactics is fighting adjacent to a skald who uses raging song.

Does the inquisitor get to increase his bonuses to strength and con from raging song by +4?

If both characters are considered to be raging and taking any applicable penalties for raging, then yes.

For extra fun, have the inquisitor drop Moment of Greatness before the rage starts, then pick the appropriate time to double his morale bonuses...

I would say No. The inquisitor doesn't have the Rage class feature, and is thereby unable to even select the Amplified Rage feat, unless you've multiclassed into Barbarian.

However, if the Inquisitor does have a level in Barbarian, He could benefit from this feat regardless of who he's adjacent to, thanks to the Solo Tactics ability.

The inquisitor could have the destruction domain for rage. At least I think it was destruction.

Rage song counts as rage for feats... so one would have to imagine that that also meant Amplified Rage.

I would say that by RAW, a skald and an ally who has accepted his rage song qualify for this feat.

So, to get this straight:

An Inquisitor with the Anger Inquisition (which grants the Rage ability), Solo Tactics, an the Amplified Rage Teamwork feat gets the bonuses from Amplified Rage even if he isn't adjacent to anyone?

Ah, so you noticed this too! I was actually looking at this a couple weeks ago and noticed a couple things myself. First, check the prerequisites again.

In order for someone to take this teamwork feat they must A) be either a half-orc or an orc and B) must have the rage class feature. An Inquisitor that doesn't possess the rage class feature cannot take this feat. Normally this would mean your raging-mosh-pit-of-death strategy would never come to fruition, but I found a way to make it work. In fact, I'd say this method is even better!

The Cavalier's Tactician ability allows them to take a bonus teamwork feat at 1st level (they must meet the prerequisites). Once per day (and once more at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th) they can spend a standard action to grant this teamwork feat to allies within 30 feet that don't need to meet the prerequisites. This lasts 3 rounds and increases by 1 round every 2 cavalier levels. All you need to pull this off is a half-orc or orc with a single level in Barbarian to gain rage before multiclassing (a good deal for a Cavalier, if you ask me).

If you have a Barbarian / Cavalier and a Skald in the same party this strategy comes online as early as level 2. Now put a Summoner in the same group and watch your DM cry.

Bluh, I didn't notice that Destruction domain and the Anger inquisition were already listed above and now I can't edit my post :P

Those options would work for taking Amplified Rage, certainly.

According to the Solo Tactics ability, the inquisitor's allies count as having the feat for the purposes of determining when the inquisitor gains its benefits, though their allies do not gain the benefits. This means the inquisitor would still need to be adjacent to or flanking with a raging ally, but that ally would not need the feat in order for the inquisitor to benefit. Unfortunate, but the other interpretation was a bit strong anyway.
