blinding beauty question

Rules Questions

Questions about nymphs blinding beauty ability.
1. Do they have to make a save every round they are within the aura?
2. If they fail the save, are blinded, and then use remove blindness are they immune to it at all?
3. What ways are their to get bonuses to the save, or not have to make it at all? I know there are the smoked goggles that should help, but is there anything else?

1. Yes, unless they close their eyes.

2. No. Unlike many similar abilities, there is no acquired immunity from exposure.

3. Closing your eyes works. Not sure what else, apart from typical save-boosting effects.

Edit: The "avert your gaze" trick for gaze attacks would work, though it isn't foolproof. It isn't a gaze attack, but the same rules should apply--you have a 50% chance of accidentally looking at the nymph and triggering a save, and the nymph would gain concealment against the averter.

That's just how I read it, though. Expect table variance on the"avert your gaze" thing.

Wow, blinding beauty is way worse that I thought it was then.

Thanks.

Sorry to necro this thread but I noticed some thing new, the Blinding Effect/Ability affects all Humanoids within 30ft of the Nymph, however, Tieflings and Aasimars are Native Outsiders, which are their own creature type, and given that spells/effects that target Humanoids have no effect on them, would they also be therefore immune to a Nymphs Blinding Beauty ability?

Four years...

That question is different enough from the OP that you should have just created a new thread for this.

With that out of the way, yes, it does not affect Tieflings, Aasimars, Ifrits, Oreads, Sylphs, Undines, Fetchlings or a bunch of the "Other Races". You might argue that that doesn't make sense, but it's a magical ability, so it's entirely possible that it's based more on the target's connection to the Material World than anything else.
