Polymorph any object to feed or mess with a vampire?

Rules Questions

One of the PAO examples given is: "Transform Pebble into Human."
It might only last 20 minutes, but that is enough for a vampire to feed on it.

So if I was a high level caster vampire could I use this to feed my hunger for blood without needing to hunt for people?
Or would, after 20 minutes, the blood I consumed turn back into stone... inside me?

There are other spells that create temporary matter that can be consumed. Create Water for example, which states that water not consumed vanishes after 24 hours. However that spell has an explanation.

If matter does indeed return back to its normal form even when it is consumed, I have one funny idea to mess with a vampire.

Make a humanoid statue from garlic and silver wire. Transform it into a human (lasts 1 hour since it's the same size). Have vampire drink from human.
1 hour later the vampire's veins fill with silver shrapnel and garlic juice. I imagine the result would be... unpleasant.

Wow, I can see animists getting really angry about this one. :O

I would say yes and no.
Yes the vampire can feed on polymorphed objects without hunting people.
No the objects (the drunken blood) dont turn back into the normal materials.

In general:
1) Vampires dont require blood for 'living'. They are undead, they dont need 'food' and they dont have special rules that force them to drink blood every day. The only benefit from drinking blood is the extra healing, temporary hitpoints, the creation of a spawn and FUN. Vampires are evil and they like to suck out the life of the living.
2) Vampires can use 'Summon Monster I' and drink blood of summoned animals.
3) Polymorph any Object is a 8th level spell. The vampire can cast limited wish to create a pool of blood, summon angels and drink from them, etc.

I have a feeling this would only really fool a newly created vampire.

@Mizake
Who are the Animists?

@Eridan
1) Even though a vampire has no need for blood it still craves it. And if for some reason the usual method is out of the question, then he might need to fall back on that.
2) I never considered that (I hardly ever use Summon Spells). And it should work, because if you summon a poisonous creature the poison does not vanish from a bitten victim after it returns as well.
3) I guess so.

@Titania
Old vampires are probably impossible to trick anyway due to their long experience with people.

Old vampires are people too. Actually they might be even easier to trick in some respects, for the same reason. Their long association with people gives them insight into how people think, meaning they predict people well. However, this also means they only think people will react in one way- their confidence may lead them to miss your intentional deception.

Yes, but they wont miss the rock that just stands there, breathing in and out. Went presented with a scary vampire, the rock stands there staring off into space.
