Background:
I recently found a couple videos on Youtube I really have enjoyed.
PAX Games and D&D next playtest on Youtube. Both I have found to be very entertaining.
I would love to see/hear a regular Paizo podcast focusing on weekly (or
monthly) adventures. Following along with a Paizo campaign would be fun.
I have listened to podcast/videos of several Piazo staff members (Eric M, Jason B, and others) It would be fun to hear/see how they are at the gaming table. Also most groups have in house jokes, it would be fun to hear Piazo in house jokes. We all know Piazo has some ongoing in house game sessions, video/audio them for us all to see/hear.
I think this ongoing Podcast adventures could be used in a few variations.
1. Simple weekly (or at least regular) sessions playing through a popular adventure path. Perhaps this could be year long, and then live in person climax/conclusion at Piazo Con.
2. Sessions focusing on most recent releases. Sure Mythic has sparked much discussion on boards, but I think seeing/hearing actually group play with focus on Mythic would be interesting. Perhaps work in Ultimate Campaign aspect as well.
3. Sessions on future releases done as part of playtest. (yes I know this is stolen from D&D next). But again I say playtest often sparks discussion on boards, and I think seeing/hearing podcast would be even more interesting, as well as spark more discussion. I would love to have podcast playtest focusing on upcoming advanced guide. I think this would be a fun and useful part of the playtest. Paizo could playtest through various aspects that have sparked a lot to discussion /debate on the boards.
Heck..... last and most important reason. FUN FUN FUn
I would enjoy hearing a well made podcast, and enjoy following along with adventures of "professional" role players (staff at Piazo)
A couple days a week, I have a long drive, and I often enjoy various podcast during my drive.
Is my idea possible? Feasible?
Any thoughts? other ideas?

This is only tangentally related to the original post, but if you are looking for a good actual play podcast, I would suggest The Strand Gamers. I've been listening to their Kingmaker campaign for a couple of months now, and find it pretty interesting. They seem to have quite a large archive of other games as well, though Kingmaker is all I have listened to so far. They seem to be on hiatus at the moment, but the archives are up.

You might now realize how much your asking, DeathBecomesus. It might seem like all they have to do is slap a recorder on the table and boom, actual play podcast. But once a mic is present, everything becomes archived. Everyone has to watch what they're saying to not slip a spoiler about something in development, make a comment that can be misconstrued, or say anything that reflects poorly on the company. What if Johnny Developer pwns an encounter with his exterminator and the GM half-hazardously says "exterminator are broken, who made that class?" Suddenly all the exterminator haters on the boards have audio proof that even a Paizo staffer hates that (fictional) class.
Then you have the person hours. If this is an official Paizo product, either a staff member will have to volunteer their time to the editing and uploading of the podcasts or that time will take away from the time they could be doing their job.
Finally, if they're running the APs straight from the book, they're spoiling content for a product they're trying to sell. If they're modifying the AP, they're setting up expectations for something not in the product.
I can see the value of your idea to a customer, but not to Paizo as a company. An alternate idea might be for an actual play one-shot recorded at a con with a pay wall for the recording that goes towards a charity.

Following on from your interest in recorded games you can checkout the Dicestomers at www.youtube.com/user/TheDiceStormers they have some good actual plays with multi cam and good sound.
They also play Multiple games and campaigns including Pathfinder :)
let us know what you think ;)

I have a DM's Campaign Journal going for my Slumbering Tsar campaign which is Pathfinder Compatible. We just did our first podcast where players are talking about various pathfinder core products, classes, etc.

Know Direction and Chronicles are very well made fan driven podcasts that frequently have the Paizo literati/alumni/illuminati/staff as guests.
I'm a big fan of the Chronicles Pathfinder Podcast, but as of late, it has been updated infrequently at best. Still, I would recommend listening to "back issues" of it.
EDIT: Also, consider looking into podcasts with Green Ronin. Vigilance Press is pretty good (it occasionally mentions Pathfinder), but the Green Ronin podcast (I forget where they are found) can be excellent: I particularly enjoyed the one regarding Open Gaming content with Chris Pramas, Erik Mona and Nicole Lindroos.

I have some recording equipment and currently run a podcast. I've been thinking of doing a Pathfinder podcast in the style of the "Acquisitions, Inc." podcasts from WOTC. Run a single 8-hour session and chop it up into eight episodes. Gives me two months to worry about the next "season", as it were.
I do need one more mic, so I may wait until after Christmas to seriously consider it. And I need assemble the players. Not sure what level of interest would be in it, though!

I love both KD and Chronicles, the women and men that run them put in vast amounts of time to bring us good stuff.
I think Chronicles problem is their vision is too grand for the time the have available. They could take their current format pare it down to rotating interviewers and a smaller panel then release it in 45 min episodes. They don't have to get rid of anybody just assign people with the time to different interviews and discussions... For example Cherry and Steel talk to Erik about publishing, While Research and somebody else talk to Jason about the new classes.

When I was doing a ~45-minute podcast with 3 regulars and the occasional guest, each one took 8-10 hours to edit, and that was with high-quality equipment, no sound effects, and a professional audio engineer handling it. The entire thing was bare bones as far as production values, and had someone who knew what he was doing at the helm, and it still took forever.
We just don't have staff capacity to spend that much time (not to mention recording time) on it.

I don't believe Research is involved with the show any longer (something about engineering, a job, a girlfriend, and a move a few years ago). Regardless, I think you hit the the nail on the head with the characterization of the show: a bit grand for the time everyone had to put into it. That said, I thoroughly laud them for everything they did with and for the show, and enjoy stopping in to watch one of their sessions on Twitch.
