Shadowdancer and arcane strike

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

Hello, I was told that with new official rules on spell like abilities, my shadowdancer could qualify for arcane strike because of shadow illusion and shadow call. Is this correct? I'd like to just confirm this for my character in Pathfinder Society who I want to be 100% legit.

Yep, that works, though that takes a LONG time to qualify. For an existing character though, yeah take it.

Shadow Lodge

It works, though you can probably find a quicker way to get it. For instance, you can get it via minor magic rogue talent, a handful of traits, several races, etc. FAQ

wait, what is the caster level on that SLA? I read the description, but I am unsure whether it meant using your shadowdancer level as your caster level, or your over all character level. This is important, since your bonuses from arcane strike rely on caster level.

Traits tend to be a poor choice for this trick, since they all use 'Highest Caster level attained or cl 1'. Nice for divine casters, but otherwise it only gives you a +1 to damage, ever. But assuming you use character level for that shadowdancer SLA, it might do well to allow earlier access.

Liberty's Edge

Right now my shadowdancer is a 3rogue/2 fighter/and 5 shadowdancer, so I think that he'd have +2 from arcane strike. He would max out at +3 which I guess makes it as good as weapon specialization. Anyway thanks for the feedback, I'll feel a lot better about using it in PFS now.
