Howdy guys!
*Never been on the forums before and I'm not sure where exactly to post this so if this is in the wrong section feel free to move it*
My local group and I are looking to connect with the Pathfinder Society. Primarily, I'm interested in locating a "local" event/group so that I can be a PC for once. lol
I've been DM/GMing for almost 14 years now and have never really had the opportunity to be a PC. Last month we decided to finally make the switch from 3.5 to Pathfinder. It's amazing; wish we had made the switch when Pathfinder was first released! I've come to like the system so much that now more than ever I want to try it out from the other end of the table.
So, where can I begin? Is there somewhere online that posts news about upcoming events, conventions, or the like? We live in Brenham, TX. Which is midpoint between Houston, Bryan/College Station, and Austin. So any info would be greatly appreciated.
Now then.... I need to go finish making my character. lol

For Houston, I tend to post the latest on Facebook, with game signups on Warhorn.
We've also got a pair of upcoming conventions you should definitely come down for, Space City Con in Galveston Jan 2-5, and Owlcon at Rice University in central Houston on Feb 21-23rd.
Also, feel free to PM me any questions you have about Houston metro area events.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Space City Con will probably be a little too close to my anniversary for my wife to be cool with but I'll certainly be down for Owlcon. In fact, I think I'll try to bring the group. Years back we used to go for RPGA events. I'm presumming that Pathfinder Society is structured similarly?

As listed in the Regional Coordinators link Thorkull posted, there are two PFS venture lieutenants and a venture captain in Austin, and I know the PFS there meets weekly at Dragon's Lair (a comic and game store which is pretty awesome on its own, even without being an actual play site.)

Here are some Texas area Pathfinder Society pages and links, though as previously suggested you'll want to get in contact with some Venture Captains and Venture Lieutenants for further assistance. You're in Brenham which is about an hour or more outside of both Austin and Houston. Once you get some games in, you might want to look into requesting to be a VL for your region.
