Ranger Eastern Weapon Build

Hello friends and comrades, I'm looking to create a Ranger-type character who has both proficiency with the Wazikashi and the Katana. If the DM agrees to it, I can trade my animal companion for proficiency with the one or both of the two and I was planning on playing a human or half-elf to cover the other one if it's not covered by the trade. I figure I can two-weapon wield 2 Wazikashis, Two-Hand a Katana, or wield each at the same time in the daishō fashion. Looking at combat styles, I think that taking the Two-Weapon combat style would be the best to cover the build I'm looking at. Would I be right in assuming that, and using my regular feats to augment my abilities with the 2h Katana? Are there any other way I could otherwise improve or achieve this particular flavor?

Str: 20 (+2 race)
Dex: 12

Int: 10
Wis: 14

Combat Style Feats To Take/Taken: Two-Weapon Fighting > Double Slice > Improved TWF > Two-Weapon Rend > Greater TWF

Regular Feats to take: Quick Draw > Power Attack > ?

Rangers are already proficient with the Nodachi... Why not go two handed power attacking with one of those? 1d10 18-20x2 is the best you can get, barring reach weapons.

Do not trade your animal companion for it. If you intend to do it, you might as well satrt as a two-weapon warrior.

My advice is to start as a tengu and take the exotic weapon training alterantive racial trait. This is a legal way to have proficiency in both weapons without burning feats.

If it is at least 20pb, go with the tww fighter archetype. You will eventually be able to wield two katanas with no additional penalties other than these of light weapons.

If it is a smaller pb, go ranger and take a wolf animal companion. Start with a spring loaded wrist sheath in the off-hand for the wakizashi, and wield the katana two-handed on the first standard action attack. Eventually buy a glove of storing.

If you go ranger do not take double slice early, it is a pretty crappy feat and you can take two-weapon rend with you bonus feats.

If you go fighter take double slice only via retraining when you can take two-weapon rend.
