I say this, I've done a minor bit in Dark Heresy but it kinda petered out rather quickly so I didn't really get very much experience. I have been reading up on the format and I find that it would really help keep my mind from becoming mush and keep my creativity flowing. I have a rather heavy amount of time on my hands so I would be able to post several times a day.
I personally would be interested in playing one of the following campaigns if a GM would be interested and willing to run one of them:
Legacy of Fire
Skull & Shackles
Reign of Winter
I will say that I have actually played Skull and Shackles before, but I feel it would be a lot different with a different GM and a different rallying Captain.
If there are any GMs out there that are willing to give a newbie to PbP a chance and are interested in starting up a game I would be very happy to play.

Welcome to the Boards and PBP, Gentleman.
The standard method of getting into a game is to look for a game through the recruitment thread, read it, and
if you like the game, then follow the GM's character creation rules,
if you don't get selected, don't feel bad it happens alot, given the number of GMs to players on these boards.
I also recommended that you have the character data in an alias' profile,
as off-site storage of character data can cause access problems for the GM.
Which has and will happen. Hence most GMs will either not look over your character (since they don't have access) or request that you make a local copy in it's alias
