Alchemist / Ninja? Could it work, or could it be done better?

Advice

I have a player who's fairly new to Pathfinder in one of my games. She has a character concept of a sneaky assassin-like character, albeit one that chucks bombs and uses improvised weapons. Is there any way to make this work, perhaps with a combination of alchemist and ninja? Or is it just too hard to make work?

The party composition will be varied; more and more people have shown up to play, and I'm thinking of splitting into two groups. Most likely, they'll have an arcane caster, a bard, and a paladin.

a ninja does not need to have levels of alchemist to do what you want it to do.

"chucks bombs" = Choking Bomb OR Ki Charge or Poison Bomb or Smoke Bomb

yes you can do it, and yes it could work... but it would be better to play a solid alchemist or ninja would be more effective.

oh and to add more to this, a vivectionist alchemist will give you sneak attack.

Ninja 1 /Alchemist X works pretty well. Bombs, with a little sneak attack sweetener.

This wouldn't allow bombs, so you'd want to have alchemist's fire, but you could get vivesectionest who throws alchemical items would be pretty effective. So would RJGrady's solution.

Eventually settled on the Dreamscarred Press Chemist archetype, since it fit so well.
