Retraining

Rules Questions

If you retrain into a archetype that delays progression of a class feature until 3rd level, and you used that feature to select your first level feats, do you still qualify for those feats?

I'm inclined to say yes because when retraining it only checks if you currently qualify for said feat, and if you would have qualified at first level is a moot point, but I'm curious what other peoples opinions are.

I don't see a very clear indication from the rules... so here's my take:

You are fine so long as your feats could be legally purchased if you had built the character from scratch to be the level it currently is.

This is actually not a good RAW guideline. For example, you are allowed to retrain a feat even if you did not qualify for the new feat at the time you received the feat you replaced.

So long as you currently qualify for the feat in question, you should be good to go. If you retrained before reaching third level and thus no longer have that class feature, you would lose the benefits of the feat until reaching third level and regaining the class feature.
