If character get willingly stripped of all possessions (xept holy symbol), then as people thought he is unarmed can said character create spiritual weapon and wield it? I ruled so it uses character attack bonus but 1d8+(caster level/3) force damage, but want to know what actual rules are or maybe how more experienced people rule this.
Doesn't the weapon summoned by the spell float by itself and swing at folk?
I don't think you can pick up a spiritual weapon and use it. The caster directs it to a target and it attacks on it's own.
I don't even know why you would want your character to wield it with their own hands, to tell you the truth. If it's attacking on it's own they get to add their wisdom bonus to the attack instead of their strength and they're free to do something else while the weapon does it's thing.
