scent and stealth questions

Advice

So I play a stealthy character who at times slips away from the party to do something the party "Lawman" would not approve of, or to sort of watch goings on without him being there or whatnot, as well as stalk enemies, sneak in for information etc. but I was recently noticed (and almost caught) by someone with scent, now I'm trying to find ways to mask my scent any suggestions? (the creature at the time was a werewolf)

The simplest methods are the spells hide from animals and pass without trace.

Both are 1st-level druid/ranger spells. If your character is neither, you could invest in a wand (and the Use Magic Device skill) or use potions.

Strong scents effectively "blind" the scent ability. Being tracked by scent? Sprinkle cayenne pepper in your footprints. Also there are non-magical scent blockers in our world, doesn't alchemy offer something similar?

Conceal scent feat (can't be tracked or pinpointed, detects you at half normal range)
Deodorizing agent from Animal Archives (for 1d3 hours, creatures cannot smell you, 30g)
