Nat Bonuses That A Quadruped Gets.

Rules Questions

So im making my Eidolon and i made it a quadruped. I know Quadrupeds in general have certain innate benefits that they get for having 4 legs but I can find a set of rules anywhere, only bits and pieces. Was hoping someone could help me out.

So far I have only found the +4 to CMD vs trips and the increased to max carry loads

The only other thing I can quickly think of is a possible bonus on forced march checks? Other than that, things shouldn't change all that much.

Penalty on dancing? :P

The "quadruped" eidolon base form gives what it says it does. While it does get a bonus against being tripped that is because it has more legs not because it has a specific base form. If a serpentine base form was chosen and you gave it 2 pairs of leg evolutions, it would also get the +4 to CMD vs trip. (As an aside the rule here is that every leg beyond the first two provide a +2 to CMD vs tripping due to extra stability the extra legs provide.)

The rule about the increased max carry load is a good catch though.

Forced march will make it more tired because it has more legs ;p Seriously though, GM fiat on this one since it is not included in the rules afaik.

The real "benefit" of choosing one eidolon base for over another are the evolutions that only that form gets access to. e.g. pounce for quadruped and constrict for serpentine.
