"I think a socialist egalitarian system based on the massive redistribution of wealth, heavy taxation of corporations and massive responsibility for energy companies and any companies exploiting the environment, [mumbles] I think the very concept of profit should be hugely reduced."

International proletarian socialist revolution.
Duh.
Which can't work.
The people won't revolt as long as they're fed and clothed.
The powerful KNOW this, so they keep the system from going completely belly up: thats why there's things like minimum wage, welfare and social security. It got to the point where it was that or full on revolt, so they just eased off the boot a bit.

Well, it certainly won't work with that attitude.

People revolt all the time. The past year or two have seen riots and/or general strikes in, off the top of my head: Turkey, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Spain (IIRC), that whole Arab Spring thing, and even here, the conservative, unclass-conscious United States had that whole Occupy thingamajig, Wisconsin, etc.
The masses have never (well, rarely) lacked the will to struggle. What's missing is a Hosseterian vanguard party, tempered in the class struggle, devoted to smashing capitalism and championing the cause of all of the oppressed. This is the task to which the Commonwealth Party of Galt (M-L) has dedicated itself. Join us.
