I posted this earlier in the product forum thread for Bestiary 4, but I think due to the volume of posts there, it might get lost, so I'm reposting here, where it is appropriate.
I have noticed that in Bestiary 4, the Grab ability has reverted back to its version from the first Bestiary by once again including this sentence:
Unless otherwise noted, grab only works against opponents at least one size category smaller than the creature."
Is this supposed to be a reversal of the rule change introduced in Bestiary 2, and kept through Bestiary 3, in which books this sentence has been omitted from the ability description, or simply a mistake?

I requested a FAQ about the mismatch between Bestiary and Bestiary 2, and at the time Paizo confirmed that the Grab ability should work on creatures of up to your own size.
Grab: The grab rules for the Bestiary say the ability only works on creatures smaller than the monster, but the grab rules for Bestiary 2 say the ability works on creatures of up to the monster's own size. Which is correct?
Bestiary 2 is the new, updated version: grab works on creatures up to the size of the monster with the grab ability. The next time we do a reprint of the original Bestiary, we'll update all references to grab and similar abilities to reflect this change.—Sean K Reynolds, 03/04/11
It might be worth noting that the eidolon's confusingly named Grab evolution appears to work differently. Barring official clarification I'll assume that Bestiary 4 simply contains the same error as the original Bestiary (perhaps copy & paste are to blame). Nevertheless, I guess I'll FAQ this since I'm not sure how else to let Paizo know there's a possible error in the book.
