Magus, Sorcerer and Witch additional spells

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

Good Evening

Can I ask clarification on how to add additional spells to the spellbook. In the CRB it states Wizards can copy from scrolls, does this also apply for these additional classes? Especially with Magus' whom are effectivly Wizard Derivatives?

Many Thanks

Magus does it the exact same way as a Wizard. The Witch and Alchemist are more or less the same (both can learn from scrolls, the Alchemist can learn from a spellbook, but a Wizard can't learn from a formula book). The Sorcerer has no spellbook and can't be taught new spells outside those obtained through leveling (with a few magic item exceptions such as a page/ring of spell knowledge).

awesome thanks for that, I was going round and round in circles getting confused and not able to make heads or tales of anything I was reading lol

Sorcerers can not learn additional spells from any source other than by leveling, or feats. (we'll leave favored class bonuses out of this for now) Capturing a spellbook will not do them any good as far as adding to spells known. (There is a feat in the Pathfinder Society Primer which will give them a limited amount of utility though.)

Magus copy and learn spells from a wizard spellbook that are on their class list. They operate the same way as another wizard would within those restrictions.

Witches are a special case. They have to take the spell writing in question, burn it, and then feed the ashes to their familliar.

Forget about what I said about a primer feat for sorcerers, I was totally misremembering something.
