So this popped up on Facebook
Looks like Paizo's medusa artwork...
Thought you should know.

Well considering how much D&D Next seems to already be ripping off from Pathfinder, blatantly stealing Paizo's artwork doesn't seem to much of a stretch.
The link appears to be broken or they removed the offending artwork.
Apparently I wasn't the only one who noticed.
Good.
Aww! I missed it! What was the page about?
James Jacobs wrote: Aww! I missed it! What was the page about? It just used the Paizo medusa artwork to go along with a blog post about them that was linked from the D&D site. I think it was Mike Mearles' (sp?) article.
Nothing bad, just an odd choice for artwork =p

Here you go, I took a screenshot for posterity.
A quick google image search shows the same image being used on
http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Medusa (under the infobox section, and without any reference or credit to the source, incidentally)
So I'm guessing it's quite possible they found on there via Google and assumed it was theirs.

Man, anybody else remember that RPG someone put up on DriveThru years back that was chock full of Pathfinder iconic artwork sloppily recolored right next to World of Warcraft screencapped characters put through a Photoshop filter?
Really? Wow, no! Who did that?

It was one of those "hahaha Oh really now" moments. Still bloody annoying though.
It was easier to shut down than those Evony-alikes stealing people's work from DeviantArt at least....

This brought me a great deal of amusement.

Please tell me you see the irony in this. Yes and no. I do realize that Pathfinder is based on 3.5, which is a Wizards product. Paizo, however, has applied some very original ideas to original framework, which WOTC seems to be blatantly ripping off for D&D Next. I read all playtest packages and I didn't saw any blatant rip offs of anything unique to Pathfinder. Could you please be more specific?
