As we hurtle toward the end of 2013 and the start of 2014 I'm starting to plot and scheme next year's release schedule. Part of the process entails me looking back over 2013 and trying to work out what worked and what didn't work. To that (dastardly) aim I've created a short nine-question survey over on Survey Monkey.
If you can spare the time, and are familiar with our products, I'd much appreciate learning what you think works (and doesn't) about Raging Swan Press. Letting me know will help me plan my release schedule for 2014 and help me make Raging Swan Press’s products even better. The survey doesn’t ask for any personal information and you don't have to sign up for anything. I'd be very surprised if it took you longer than five minutes to complete.
You can find the survey here. Thanks very much in advance for your participation – it’s jolly decent of you.

It was kind of hard to judge how much I'd want something like Ruins backdrop based off the name alone. I like the village backdrop series, but I don't care for the dressing series, so I based my rating off of it on the word backdrop, but knocked somewhere around a point to two points off those entries just because I wasn't sure which it would be more like.
Then question 2 really could have used a "no experience with this line" item. I left several blank because I don't think the line is crap but it isn't something I desire or use. (Of course, I'm somewhat of an anomaly, I read much more than I play, so images and maps are less important for me.)
One suggestion might have been a pair of questions about what has been used in game and what doesn't get used in games.

You are absolutely right. It's my first survey and I'm learning as I go. Thanks for the observation; I will definitely include the option next time around!

I bought three of your products recently, All That Glimmers (it's awesome but I wish there were more unique weapons), Scions of Evil (Holy crap this book is amazing, but some of the villains could have had a page less info to make room for even more cool villains), and Retribution (my party's not 1st level but I love the adventure, have to scale it myself).
Took the survey, please keep your quality products coming.

Done, done and done. Would love more in print collations. Any eyes on mythic stuff? What's the future for the 100% crunch line?
Sadly, some of my answers are, "I don't know (yet)."
I haven't had a chance to read Mythic Adventures yet. Once I do, I'll be able to say more about any support for it Raging Swan might put out there.
As to the 100% Crunch line, I'm also not sure yet. Some instalments have done pretty well and others haven't. I'm not sure I've worked out the magic formula for that line yet.
As to print products, absolutely you'll be seeing more. Next week, I release the first GM's Miscellany - which is a collection of the first 12 Village Backdrops. I'll be creating more such offerings next year, based on (among other things) Dungeon Dressing, Urban Dressing and Wilderness Dressing.
I hope that helps!

I've started to post the results of the survey. Likely, I'll release them over three weeks as they'll be quite long. This week, I deal with the big picture questions. You can read the results here.
Thanks again to everyone who participated.

Very weird. I would have thought you would get the highest score in making games easier - at least that seems to be the entire raison d'etre of the Dressings line. I know there is more to RSP, I guess I'm surprised is all.
Still, it's a general confirmation of your stellar position in the industry and rightly so. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to the next batch of results.
