Id like to include a nice large backdrop in my new gaming room but would appreciate something a bit larger than a 22x34' poster. Ive seen the huge backdrops used at cons and such. Are such commercially available. If not, as an alternative, is it possible to get a multi-sheet enlargement of the posters such as the map folio?
Lastly, with no other options, would it be legal to have one of the existing posters enlarged and printed by someone else for personal use?

I took the PDF from The Inner Sea Poster Map Folio and had it printed on a 1.8m by 2.6m high promotional stand (one of those marketting displays they use at conferences). Because I just bought one, it cost a couple of hundred bucks so hardly economically sensible. It's pretty cool though. :)
It's also free-standing, takes about two minutes to set up and pack away and is easily portable (though that sounds less important for you).
With regard to the legalities of printing a copy for personal use, the paizo FAQ says:
Can I print my PDF, or have it professionally printed?
You may print one copy of any Paizo PDF for personal use.
Note that this only applies to products that list Paizo Publishing as the copyright holder—other publishers may have different policies you'll need to contact them directly.

I know you said you want something bigger than 22x34.
Have you looked at the Inner Sea Poster Map Folio? It's four posters to make the whole map. Product description says it's 3.5 feet x "over" 5 feet. It's not a giant promotional product, but it definitely satisfies the "This is quite big" requirement.

The first is perfectly ok, but do note that any use or reproduction of the image or description of Cosmo™ may incur and/or require some additional licensing.
