The conjuration school for wizards says that at level 20 you can make summon monster spells permanent. Does that mean you have to have 20 levels of wizard or just 20 levels total?
You will often see references to "level" throughout the class descriptions. They generally refer to "class level", and will specify when they mean "character level".
